In the vast landscape of career coaches, what sets me apart is my unwavering connection to the industry I serve. Rooted in research and analysis, I stay informed on hiring practices, economic trends, and corporate dynamics, ensuring a clear understanding of where my clients fit in the professional panorama.

I created The Curated Career and became a certified career coach to assist talented professionals who are silently struggling in unfulfilling roles. My goal is to provide them with support, enlightenment, and strategy to help them find their next adventure. I use the word “adventure” because we spend a significant amount of time at work, and it’s important to have a job that we truly enjoy and that allows us to give our best every day.

Showcasing Client Results

Here, I’ll spotlight the impactful results achieved for my clients. Through reviews and detailed insights, I’ll illustrate how I transformed their career outlooks, inspiring beneficial changes.

Understanding Client Needs

The beautiful thing about being an online career coach is meeting with people from all walks of life and in different life stages.

I have had the opportunity to coach a mom who was experiencing frustration with the misaligned values of her and her superiors at work. Together, we worked towards finding a new role that would make her feel appreciated and challenged. Additionally, I have helped a sales executive who had dedicated 20 years of his career to one company but felt lost when his tenure came to an end due to a workforce reduction. These two examples have helped me understand how to contextualize my strategies for different industries.

As a career coach, my main goal is to assist my clients in achieving their targets. I provide a range of services, including transforming resumes and optimizing LinkedIn profiles, creating career roadmaps with goals and milestones for the year, devising networking strategies, and providing motivation to keep them on track.

A client approached me who had previously pursued a career in radio broadcasting, but was struggling to return to the industry after a break. After some discussion and learning more about her background, I discovered that her true passion was actually in modeling and hosting. I decided to use this information to her advantage and transformed her LinkedIn page into a landing page that would attract booking managers for modeling and hosting opportunities. Since her rebranding, she has been able to showcase her work on the platform and has experienced success in her new career path.

Needs Assessment Process

Everyone is different and comes to me for different reasons. Because I don’t want to assume, I encourage all of my prospective clients to book a 15-minute discovery session to hear about what they are currently doing in their careers and what they want to be doing.

We will discuss any problems and setbacks that they may have and offer solutions to overcome these obstacles with my help. I find that it can be difficult to come up with solutions when you are deeply ingrained in the problem.

The assessment is more of an interview process where I’ll be able to figure out the sequence of steps we’ll need to take to make progress toward your goal – whether that is landing a new job, getting out of the never-ending cycle of layoffs, or finding a territory that you can own at work. It’s all possible.

Tailored Solutions

Crafting bespoke strategies is the heartbeat of what I do. I take a personalized approach by analyzing the client’s industry and identifying strategic positions to pursue.

Certain clients may desire to switch to a completely different industry, which can be a challenging transition. In such cases, I prefer to take a freestyle approach that emphasizes their transferable skills. Every situation is unique and requires me to conduct thorough research and comprehend their goals.

Innovative Approaches

I like to think that there is nothing new under the sun. Things may be remixed and updated, but at the core of it all are replications of success, but clients are often unable to see it due to stress or the busy lives they lead. That’s where I come in. The strategies I apply are concurrent with real-world success stories that are happening now.

One of my favorite approaches in the area is to figure out who my clients admire and what parts of their careers they might be a little envious of. I then take that information and figure out how to reverse engineer it and make it relevant to what they are doing. Again, research comes into play.

There was one brilliant client of mine who wanted to explore more of her creativity as a writer. We explored 3 creative templates to design her style as a creative writer and how she could use writing a vehicle to promote causes that she was passionate about. We were able to build an easy framework to replicate without any help or support.

Feedback Loop

Post-transformation, I like to remind my clients that potential clients are coming up after them who can benefit from their honest feedback. With this, I provide a detailed review document where they can share their highlights and offer critiques on how the service can be improved.

I take this feedback to heart and use it as an opportunity to update essential components of my coaching offers and from an education perspective, I use it as a way to simply get better. The relationship that I have with my former and present clients is one of transparency and authenticity.

Adaptability

The career coaching industry is constantly changing, and that’s why I make a continuous effort to invest in my education to ensure that I am providing the best possible service. On the back end, I use the most effective communication products available to ensure that our time together is seamless and impactful. I conduct extensive research to understand the challenges that people face so that I can approach them in ways that are relatable and make sense. If there is a way for me to improve my approach to better serve my clients, I am probably already working on it.

Conclusion

I hope this offers a valuable glimpse into the work I do to help people achieve their career goals. We are in an unfortunate time when extremely talented people are being let go from their jobs and they need support. They need to know that their value has diminished because they aren’t under a corporate umbrella. They need to know that a career break is not a terrible thing and we all deserve moments of rest. Most importantly, they need to know they have a voice and their contributions matter.

I am committed to providing the best results and seeing it through to the end where my clients’ can finally claim success. It is a journey that I am privileged to be a part of.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck. To second-guess your career moves. To wonder if you’ll ever land a job that pays what you deserve and lets you thrive.

I’ve been there.

I started my career as a journalist, crafting stories that informed and inspired. But after years in the industry, I found myself at a crossroads, questioning my next move. Transitioning out of journalism wasn’t easy—I had to rebrand myself, rewrite my own career story, and learn how to position my skills for new opportunities.

That’s when I realized: so many professionals struggle with this. Whether it’s breaking into a new field, leveling up to higher-paying roles, or just figuring out what’s next, the job market can feel overwhelming.

That’s why I built The Curated Career.

I don’t believe in generic career advice. I believe in strategy, positioning, and playing the long game. I help professionals like you show up with confidence, build a career story that makes sense, and finally land the roles they deserve.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start making moves, let’s talk. You don’t have to do this alone—I’ve got you.
